Rapping (also known as emceeing, spitting bars, or just rhyming) is the rhythmic spoken delivery of rhymes, wordplay, and poetry. It's fashionable, trendy, and a primary ingredient in 'Hip Hop' music (which these days is ALLLLL THE RAGE). Rapping can be delivered over a beat or without accompaniment, and both ways are just fantastic. Contrary to popular belief, the stylish phenomenon actually predates hip hop culture by centuries!! It's true, people were groovin', jivin' and hip hoppin' to the beat before Kanye was even born!! Below I've posted some rap music videos that I remember from back when I was a kid.
